Chanté Moore – Exposed (Review)

A sweet throwback to sophisticated ’70s soul divas like Angela Bofill and Deniece Williams, sultry soprano Chanté Moore retains her poise and romanticism even while working with hip-hop producers like Jermaine Dupri and Tim & Bob (”Thong Song”). She forgoes contemporary R&B histrionics on ”Bitter,” instead dismissing a lover with cool civility. And despite Exposed‘s many songs of betrayal and heartbreak, she ends it by affirming ”Love’s Still Alright.” B
